Our Church
Our Vision
Love God.
Love Each Other.
Serve Our Community.
Our Values
-
We believe that God is a God of love. Through a relationship with Jesus, we can live in a relationship of love and be loving towards others (1 John 4:16; Colossians 3:17).
-
We practice Sabbath as a time for self-care, family, reflection, and connection with God (Exodus 20:8-11). We care for our health and that of our families.
-
Inspired by God’s self-giving nature (John 3:16), we share our time, resources, and love to support, serve, and uplift others both in our church and in our community (2 Corinthians 9:7).
-
We value relationships, encouraging spiritual growth together, supporting each other through the ups and downs of life (Hebrews 10:24-25).
-
We value creating a safe and secure environment where families and children can grow together in faith in a multi-generational context, fostering a sense of belonging and love.
Our Pastor
Deirdre Solomon – Lead Pastor
I’m Pastor Deirdre, lead pastor of Riverview Adventist Church. I’m passionate about sharing the Good News of God’s love for all people. I enjoy creating authentic communities where people of all generations can grow spiritually and know they belong.
As a mom to three amazing kids—Gideon, Kara, and Jericho—I understand the importance of helping the next generation love God, love others, and serve. My husband, Kevin, is also a pastor, serving at the Sparks Seventh-day Adventist Church, and together we’re committed to making God’s grace known in our community.
Check out my latest messages on the watch page—I’d love for you to join us!

Our Story
Riverview Adventist Church is a welcoming place where people of all ages can connect, grow in faith, and support each other.
Founded in Reno in 1878, our church now resides on West Fourth Street on a hill overlooking the Truckee River, where we share our campus with Riverview Academy, creating a safe space where families can thrive.
We celebrate the Sabbath as a time for rest and renewal, and we invite you to join us, whether you’re new to the area or looking for a place to belong.
Come be a part of our warm, multigenerational family.
